Project Overview:
The electrical retrofit at the Wuhan Iron and Steel Plant involved one of the most challenging industrial environments: extreme heat, conductive dust, vibrations from heavy machinery, and corrosive atmospheres. The requirement was for extraordinarily rugged and reliable electrical equipment to power arc furnaces, rolling mills, and continuous casting lines, where any downtime results in massive production losses..
We engineered a specialized industrial solution featuring heavy-duty, steel-wire armored 15kV power cables with special corrosion-resistant sheathing, designed to withstand physical abuse and chemical exposure. We supplied several 2500kVA and larger capacity dry-type transformers with high-temperature insulation classes (H-class) to operate reliably near heat sources. These were paired with our reinforced, dust-proof, and arc-resistant medium-voltage switchgear, built to manage high fault currents and prevent internal arc flash propagation.
The plant's chief electrical engineers and external project supervisors subjected our products to exceptionally stringent acceptance tests. Our switchgear's robust sealing against metallic dust and the transformers' ability to handle harmonic loads from variable-frequency drives received unanimous praise. The plant management (the owner) stated that our equipment's "industrial-grade build quality" was immediately evident and far superior to previous suppliers.

Enduring Performance:
Our equipment has been in continuous, 24/7 operation in this punishing environment for years. Despite the extreme conditions, the transformers maintain stable temperatures, the cables show no signs of degradation, and the switchgear has operated flawlessly. This unwavering performance and safety record have significantly reduced unscheduled maintenance, delivering exceptional long-term value and operational peace of mind to the plant owners.
