From humble beginnings
Our roots extend to 1937 when Roy Richards, a recent graduate of Georgia Tech, started a company to erect power poles. On March 23, 1950,
Richards founded Southwire with three used machines and a workforce of 12 employees. Today, Southwire’s reputation for quality and service
continues to grow, boasting more than 9,000 employees throughout the world.
POWENEX Technology was established as the trading and exporting arm of VL Group. The company offers a comprehensive portfolio of electrical products, including LV/MV power cables, current and power transformers, and electrical switchgear cabinets.

In 2020
The construction of the new factory in Hegui Industrial Park was completed, and the headquarters of Zhonglian Group and its three enterprises completed the housewarming. After 38 years of persistence and development, the Group has become one of the largest manufacturers of electrical products in Guangdong.
In 2018
In 2012, Zhonglian Group entered the field of real estate and successively developed and built Xinkai Square and Jinghua Square, among which Jinghua Square has become another new commercial landmark in Foshan.
In this regard, the group has realized a diversified business model and become a comprehensive group company integrating manufacturing industry, cultural industry, service industry and real estate development industry.
In 2012
Guangdong Zhonglian Cable Group Co., Ltd. was officially listed, and "Foshan Nanhai Li'an Property Investment Management Co., Ltd." and "Foshan Nanhai Dali Zhonglian Feihong Kindergarten" were established.
In 2009
In order to promote traditional Chinese culture, it was wholly established in 1999.

In order to improve the brand of Zhonglian products,
The company integrated all investments and concentrated funds to build a more modern wire and cable production enterprise. It was officially renamed "Nanhai Zhonglian Cable Factory", and the headquarters was located in Nanhai Huangqi.
In 1989
In order to expand the scale of the factory, a branch factory "Zhangqi Wire Factory" was established in Zhangqi, Foshan in 1985, which laid the foundation for the vigorous development of the group in Foshan in the future.
In 1985
Mr. Li Youquan, the founder of Zhonglian Group, founded Hengli, Dongguan in 1980 with his great courage and sharp eyes.
It began to be conceived and sprouted. In 1982, the Zhongchang Wire Drawing Factory moved back to Huangqi, Nanhai, and developed the production of wires. The company was renamed "Zhonglian Wire Factory".
