Project Overview:
The iconic Canton Tower, a super-tall landmark, presented unique engineering challenges for its lighting and auxiliary power systems. The solutions needed to be compact, lightweight (to reduce structural load), highly energy-efficient, and incredibly reliable to maintain the tower's dazzling night-time aesthetics and essential services at staggering heights.
For this landmark project, we provided specialized, space-saving electrical components. Key supplies included fire-resistant, low-smoke, zero-halogen (LSZH) 15kV and low-voltage power cables for vertical risers, ensuring safety in evacuation routes. We customized compact 2500kVA dry-type transformers with enhanced cooling systems for the sky-high machine rooms. Most notably, we delivered a series of customized, compact switchgear and distribution boards to control the vast LED lighting arrays that illuminate the tower's façade. These were designed for remote monitoring and exceptional electrical endurance.
The architectural and engineering supervision team was highly impressed by our custom-design capability and the meticulous craftsmanship of our products. The owner, Canton Tower Administration, expressed great satisfaction with the precision of our lighting control systems and the silent, vibration-free operation of our transformers, which was crucial for the occupied observation decks and revolving restaurants. The flawless installation was completed on schedule.
